This Is the Maximum Social Security Check You Can Get on September 3, 2025

For retirees and other recipients who depend on Social Security each month, even a small change in benefits can make a big difference.

Starting in 2025, payments include a 2.5% Cost-Of-Living Adjustment (COLA), giving beneficiaries extra support to offset higher living expenses caused by inflation.

What This Means for Beneficiaries

The COLA increase is applied automatically by the Social Security Administration (SSA).

Beneficiaries don’t need to file new paperwork, the higher amounts are included directly in their monthly deposits.

The maximum monthly benefit is $4,018.

To qualify, workers must retire at their full retirement age (67 for anyone born in 1960 or later).

Delaying retirement beyond that age can boost benefits even higher.
